Andrey Ptichnikov is one of the leading experts in Russia and the CIS in nature-based solutions, sustainable forest management, climate projects, and forest certification. He has experience working with Russian governmental organizations (Ministry of Natural Resources, Rosleskhoz) and international partnership programs with Finland, Sweden, and Switzerland. Andrey has been a consultant for the World Bank, the International Finance Corporation, and the UN Development Programme. He also led the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) in Russia and the CIS and coordinated sustainable forest management programs with companies like IKEA, Stora Enso, and Tetrapak. Currently, Andrey lectures at the National Research University Higher School of Economics on low-carbon development.
