AIM Carbon Expands Business Interests in Africa by Investing in Efficient Cookstoves

AIM Carbon is proud to announce its expansion into Africa with a significant investment of approximately $40 million in the production and distribution of efficient clean cookstoves. The initiative will initially focus on Malawi and later expand to several other countries.

This project will contribute to combating climate change by avoiding approximately 16.4 million tonnes of CO2e within 10 years. It will also positively affect over 1,290,000 families, bringing health benefits and positive lifestyle changes.

It is assumed that carbon credits will be issued under the GS TPDDTEC v4 and MMECD v1.2 methodologies by Gold Standard. AIM Carbon plans to employ additional MRV measures, including digital monitoring and AI tools, to ensure the integrity of resulting carbon credits.

“This project represents everything AIM Carbon stands for – large scale, high quality, and significant socioeconomic impact. It is a valuable part of our African strategy,” CEO Akhmerov said.

AIM Carbon's deeper expansion into Africa represents a strategic move towards promoting sustainable practices and making a positive impact on the environment and local communities. The company's commitment to reducing carbon emissions and improving lives through innovative business solutions sets a commendable example for businesses worldwide.
