AIM Carbon expands into Ghana’s market with new carbon credits project

AIM Carbon has announced its plans to develop afforestation and carbon projects in the Republic of Ghana in cooperation with local partners. The company's commitment to reducing carbon emissions and promoting environmental sustainability aligns with the agroforestry initiatives and overall Sustainable Development Goals of Ghana to achieve a cleaner and greener future. This strategic move not only strengthens AIM Carbon's presence in the African region but also marks a significant step towards addressing climate change on a broader scale.

One of the AIM Carbon principal projects in Ghana will be focused on planting indigenous fast growing species, particularly in riparian zones by implementing cutting-edge technologies and methodologies, which help to address issues such as the rate of evaporation of water bodies, land degradation and soil erosion whilst creating employment and improving the biodiversity of the environment.

According to the company’s CEO Igor Akhmerov, the project will make a tangible impact on reducing greenhouse gas emissions and fostering economic growth in the region while simultaneously generating high quality offsets.

AIM Carbon is an international company focused on development and implementation of emission reduction projects. The company is incorporated in the UAE with offices in Dubai and Nairobi.
